Dr Papadopoulos graduated from the Dental School of Athens and following that worked as a dentist at the 401 Military Hospital of Athens as part of his military training. After that, he worked in private practice doing general dentistry, prosthodontics, and implant dentistry in Athens, before moving to London.

In 2018 he completed his 3-year Prosthodontic training at the Royal London Dental Hospital, and was awarded his DClinDent degree from Queen Mary University of London with a Distinction grade. He also completed the M Pros examination and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is currently undertaking  a 2-year post graduate degree in Academic Practice which is aimed at enhancing teaching practice.

He is a GDC registered Specialist in Prosthodontics working privately in different locations of London. He has a position as a Clinical Lecturer in Prosthodontics at Queen Mary University of London, supervising and teaching dentists who are training to become specialists.  He is also currently involved in teaching of newly qualified dentists as part of their Dental Foundation scheme. Ioannis attends national and international congresses regularly, keeping up to date with the latest evidence in Prosthodontics. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been awarded several prizes, including the British Society of Prosthodontics Oral Presentation Prize. He is an active member of the International Team for Implantology, the British Dental Association, and the British Society of Prosthodontics.

He is experienced in all aspects of fixed and removable Prosthodontics, including restoration of damaged and missing teeth, dental implants, and digital dentistry.
